Our safari in Tanzania was unforgettable. We were incredibly fortunate to spot all members of the Big Five, and each day brought new highlights and surprises. Our guide truly elevated the experience - knowledgeable, welcoming, and always attentive. His insights made every drive not just exciting, but also enriching. While the meals tended to be similar from day to day, they were consistently good. The lodges and tents were quite comfortable as well. Especially the tents were more spacious than expected. We also made a stop at the Materuni Waterfalls and took part in a traditional coffee tour. The scenery was stunning! The hike to the top of the waterfall was steeper and more slippery than expected, but absolutely worth the effort for the views alone. We had an amazing time and would enthusiastically recommend a safari in Tanzania to anyone considering one.

I came across Jambo Masai Tour after a long search for safari agencies in Tanzania, and I was immediately impressed by the kindness and promptness of the staff, Raphael in particular. We decided to go on safari in Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, spending two days travelling from Zanzibar, with all transfers included in the price. It was a truly unforgettable experience and one I would highly recommend. Kevin, our driver, was kind and attentive throughout the trip, as well as extremely knowledgeable about the parks we visited and the animals we were lucky enough to see. Unfortunately, at Ngorongoro we had an issue with our entry permit for the reserve. Kevin immediately took action to try to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and did everything he could to help us. We didn’t manage to complete the Big Five, as we were missing the leopard—but we’ll use that as an excuse to come back soon! Thank you so much for this amazing experience. It was truly exciting and unforgettable!
Our safari in Tanzania was absolutely incredible! We were lucky enough to see all of the Big Five, and every day brought new and unforgettable moments. Our guide was fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and always attentive to our needs. He made the entire journey enjoyable and educational. The food was always pretty much the same, but it was totally fine. The tents and lodges were very comfortable, giving us a great place to relax after long days of exploring. We also visited the Materuni Waterfalls including a traditional coffee tour. It was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful experience that perfectly complemented our safari. We even hiked to the top of the waterfalls, which was more of a challenge because it was steep and slippery, but definitly worth it. Overall, we were very happy with the entire trip. A fantastic experience we can highly recommend to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania!

Our experience with Jambo Masai Tours began in October 2025, when I started planning what I hoped would be the ultimate African safari for my family. I submitted our plans through SafariBookings.com and received several proposals from different operators. Our itinerary was ambitious and logistically complicated: seven days starting in Nairobi, continuing through Amboseli National Park, crossing into Tanzania through Arusha, then Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Central Serengeti, Northern Serengeti, and finally back to Central Serengeti for our departure from Seronera Airstrip to continue our vacation in Zanzibar. From my first conversations with Raphael at Jambo Masai Tours, I was impressed by his responsiveness, flexibility, and willingness to work with us. Raphael managed to put together this complicated Kenya–Tanzania itinerary at a very competitive and family-friendly price while maintaining the quality of accommodations and experiences we wanted.

Firstly I had an amazing time on safari, the food and accommodation was great along with the activities we did. However the organisation of the tour was poor. There was multiple times where we were an hour late leaving. When paying to be on safari, personally I want to leave on time to spend the most time in the national parks as possible. The communication was also poor, I had to ask to know what was going on and wasn't informed unless I asked. My itinerary changed many times so I couldn't follow it. I cannot fault the people, they were all so lovely and friendly (especially Julieth). However, due to the efficiency and communication I would not use this company again.

I did the 4 day Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire safari with Jambo Massai. They were extremely polite, responsive and cooperative from the very beginning when I was looking at options and planning my trip. They had the most competitive quote for lodge stays and service was equally great. The safari guide Lawrence was very polite and knowledgeable. The car driver GodBless, the travel organiser Julieth and the tour manager Rafael were all a delight to talk to. They went over and beyond to make me a solo traveller feel comfortable and happy. I'd definitely recommend JamboMassai tour operator to everyone.

The accommodations were very nice and the driver was always on time and very informative. We were guided every step of the way. I received detailed quotes within 24 hours of sending my request, and Hadija connected with me promptly on WhatsApp as well. She helped coordinate my arrival, gave great suggestions, and overall was caring, wonderful, and very detail-oriented. She even managed to adjust my start date after my flight was delayed, picked me up from JRO in the middle of the night, and arranged lodging in Arusha so I could rest. Additionally, since I ended up with an extra day in Arusha, Hadija provided different options for things to do in the area and was there to show me around. I felt very safe and well taken care of. The safari itself was done with their partner, Serengeti African Tours. We met up with other travelers in our group at a lodge around Lake Manyara, and from there we headed to the Serengeti. Our driver, Adrian, was great—we saw the Big Five and so much more! Our chef was also excellent—we had vegetables, rice or other starches, and protein consistently for lunch and dinner, as well as fruit for dessert. Breakfast included toast, pancakes, omelets, sausage, and fruit. He also asked about dietary restrictions and accommodated several people in our group. The vehicle was in good condition and had a charging station. Please note that camping in the Serengeti has fairly outdated facilities compared to Ngorongoro, so if you’re not staying at a lodge, plan accordingly (bring power banks, toilet paper, etc.). The parks themselves are simply mind-blowing, and this was truly a special experience!
# 5 Stars — Jambo Masai Tours Exceeded Every Expectation I can wholeheartedly recommend Jambo Masai Tours after an unforgettable seven-day family safari through Kenya and Tanzania. Raphael was exceptional throughout months of planning. Our group size changed, accommodations had to be replaced because of availability and renovations, and our itinerary—from Nairobi and Amboseli through Tarangire, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti—was logistically complicated. Raphael handled every change professionally, found excellent alternative luxury camps, arranged special activities including our hot-air-balloon safari, and gave us a wonderful trip at a very competitive price. We had two excellent guides: Joseph from Shades of Africa for Kenya and Ruben from Jambo Masai Tours for Tanzania. Joseph brought an impressive level of expertise and knowledge to our Kenya experience. Ruben was equally knowledgeable, professional, patient and attentive throughout Tanzania. But what truly earned Jambo Masai Tours our deepest gratitude happened during our final night in the Serengeti, when I experienced an unexpected medical emergency. Ruben's response was extraordinary. In the middle of the night, he made sure I received the medical attention I urgently needed, remained calm, and reassured my family throughout a frightening situation. Despite the disruption to the company's schedule, he safely delivered us to the airport the following morning. That went far beyond normal customer service. You can judge a safari company by the quality of its itinerary, guides, accommodations and wildlife experience—and Jambo Masai Tours was excellent in all of those areas. But you discover the true character of a company when something goes wrong. When our family needed them most, Ruben and Jambo Masai Tours were there for us.
